Grand Civil War Ball

Saturday, April 19, 2008
8 pm
The Century Club
612 Jefferson Ave, Scranton PA
Cost: $35 for individual or $60 for couples.

Join us for a delightful evening at the historic Century Club in Scranton as we travel back in time to re-enact a mid-19th century formal ball. Dance the night away with live music by vintage dance band, Spare Parts, as they play authentic music from the Civil War era including polkas, waltzes, schottische and several reels such as the Virginia Reel and Snowball Reel.

It's fun! It's easy! All dances will be taught, so no prior dance experience is necessary. If you are still a little nervous about dancing, then attend the weekly dance lessons during March and April or the vintage dance workshop on Saturday April 19. Click the Dance Lessons link to the left for more information.

Period dress or dress blues are admired, but not required.
Formal dress for both men and ladies is required.
Light refreshments will be served during intermission.

Advance registration highly recommended.
This event quickly sells out because space is limited.
